It seems like no matter where I go, no matter what the temperature is outside, I am admonished by a little old lady when I don't have a hat on Gus's head.

Just tell those little old ladies that his GRANDMOTHER mistakenly took his hat home with her to Vicksburg. They don't have to know he has 12 more in a drawer at home. I'll return his blue beanie hat when I see you next. Hopefully his little head won't freeze before then.
lol don't you love it when everyone else needs to tell you what they think you are doing wrong. I started making random reasons why my kids weren't up to their 'standards'. Austin has itchy scalp and the Dr said to leave his hat off :) You are a wonderful mama!
