Important question for all the TV watchers out there

Do you find Flo, from the Progressive commercials, to be a cute, endearing, quirky, and huggable creature with her tricked-out name tag, OR an annoying, vomit-inducing, contrived character with too much makeup? Discuss.

And yes, I realize I am simply playing into the hands of the marketing guys at Progressive, who have clearly done their job, because I am, at this moment, blogging about their spokesperson. Damn you Progressive!!

That's so weird! I've had a dual-edged relationship with this woman from the start. I want to hug her and slap her at the same time. I love that she's offbeat (and oddly sexy), but in the end, she's just too pushy and overbearing to love. I vote SLAP.*

*No women or Progressive agents were slapped in the making of this blog-post.

This is the exact kind of feedback I was seeking. And John, this is pretty much precisely what I would have expected your opinion to be. I love it! Keep it coming people!

i'm not sure i'm familiar with the commercial in reference, but as a betting woman, i'm willing to bet that i'm less bothered by the progressive woman herself than i am by listening to john talk about how he finds her "oddly sexy."

Mary, what's weird about that? She's appealing... but shouldn't be. Je ne cest quois. Elfin. If you saw her, I think you'd agree.

Mary, how can you NOT have seen this woman with as much sports as you watch on TV?? I am baffled by that. You must know the ubiquitous Flo!

Well put it this way, I always look forward to the newest Progressive commercial to see what she's up to. Sad, huh? Have you seen her on the Glade commercial with very little makeup????

She's perky, but not insanely squeaky or high pitched. This makes her tolerable. I like her. =) The split Luke and I have is over the credit report commercials... I love 'em- so catchy!. Luke hates them and changes the channel every time.
